Apar Industries Inaugurates White Oil Plant In The Hamriyah Free Zone

Petroleum Specialties is the company’s first unit located outside India

Petroleum Specialties, a prominent manufacturer of white oils, recently opened its new facility at the Hamriyah Free Zone in the Emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The company is a subsidiary of Apar Industries, a key player in the white oils market, and this is its first unit outside India. The fully-automated facility has an area of 30,000 sq. meters and cost US$ 18 million dollars to build. The plant inauguration was graced by the Chairman of the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority. Also in attendance were Kushal Desai, Chairman and MD of Apar Industries, the VP of Sales – Sanjay Abhyankar, Saud Salim Al Mazrouei –HFZA Director and several other investors, government officials, businessmen, and senior company and HFZA directors.

Al Mazrouei stated that critical projects will continue to be launched in Hamriyah Free Zone. The Free Zone is poised to build new partnerships, strengthen existing ones and attract additional investments by keeping pace with the economic growth witnessed in the Emirate of Sharjah that has one of the most diversified economies in the Gulf. The inauguration of the largest plant of its kind in the region should cater to demand for high-quality white oil in the region and beyond and speaks volumes of the successful strategy adopted by HFZA to fuel international investment. The plant could go a long way in raising the profile of this region and gaining further investment in the emirate of Sharjah. The plant management has committed to improving their facilities, services, and practices to achieve their objectives.

Al Mazrouei encouraged both foreign and local businessmen to take full advantage of the massive investment opportunities offered by the HFZA to enable investors to build long-term partnerships with the help of unique benefits offered in the Emirate. Kushal Desai said that the significance of Sharjah as a thriving hub coupled with its strategic location and the incentives and facilities offered to investors compelled Apar to build its new unit in Hamriyah Free Zone. He concluded by saying that the plant is well-positioned to serve the regional demand and can even be expanded to cater to demand in the global white oil market.
