Passivation is the process of coating or treating metals for reducing chemical reactivity of outer surface of metals with atmosphere and prevent surface from rust formation, for this various chemicals are used. Chemical Passivation is the two-step process, in first step free iron molecules are removed from the outer surface of metal. Various acid are used for this process. In second step oxidation is done which create homogeneous protective oxide layer.
